FANTASY LIFE i: The Girl Who Steals Time Review
This is probably not the kind of game I expected myself to pick up, considering I do mostly dabble in very few Single Player Games but mostly MMORPGs, easy answer for why I did: one of my friends was streaming it on Discord, it looked cozy enough, and I was curious. Then I checked the price and had that “uhhhhh, maybe not” moment… until I saw the Steam Family Library tag and realized someone in my family already owned it. At that point, why not give it a go.
What Still Works
The cozy loop is genuinely nice. Log in, do a bit of gathering, crafting, questing, or just wandering around, and log out feeling like you did something without feeling stressed.
The world charm is strong too. It has that light, colorful, easygoing feel that makes it very easy to stay in for “just one more thing” sessions.
Biggest surprise for me so far is the story. I really, really enjoyed it. It is fun, not overly serious, and honestly cute and silly in the best way. Can’t thank my friend enough for the recommendation there.
Where It Slows Down
My main issue is pacing, especially around leveling each Life. Some stretches feel smooth, then others feel like your momentum just drops and you are pushing through slower steps to get back to the fun parts.
If you are the kind of player who needs constant forward momentum, you will feel this more than cozy players who do not mind slower progression beats.

Value and Post-Launch Support
One thing I do want to call out positively: major free support matters, and this game has it.
The official site confirms a Version 2.0 major free update and free major DLC content under “The Sinister Broker Bazario’s Schemes“, with new content and systems added without turning it into another paid DLC gate.
Compared to games that keep slicing major additions into extra paid chunks, that is a real value win.
Worth Playing?
If you like cozy life-sim energy, yes, I think this is worth playing.
If you want nonstop pace and constant high-intensity progression, this may feel too slow in parts. But if you want something chill, charming, and easy to enjoy in shorter sessions, this lands.
For me, i genuinely had a blast, I probably would have never given it a go due to the price tag but I am really glad I did, and yes, my friend was right.
