Is it Worth Playing Delta Force?
Delta Force has basically been my fallback FPS game since it came out in 2024.
Before this, my fallback was always Call of Duty. But having to keep buying the newest CoD every few years started to feel bad for me. I still like FPS games, I just got tired of that paid cycle. Despite that, I still do play CoD Warzone…
Then another FPS i tend to jump into to is Fortnite No Build here and there, but it never really scratches the same itch. It is fun in its own way, just not the same kind of true FPS pull I get from CoD style gunplay or Delta Force sessions.

What Is It
Delta Force is a free-to-play shooter where two sides clash across objective-focused modes, plus extraction-style play and larger warfare setups depending on mode.
If I had to explain it in plain player terms, it is a modern military FPS with enough mode variety that you can bounce between focused objective matches and bigger battlefield chaos.
Official context from Steam: free-to-play, released Dec 4, 2024, developed by Team Jade and published by TiMi Studio Group.
What Worked for Me
Attack and Defense is easily my favorite mode over Deathmatch.
That mode is where the game feels most alive for me. It feels like actual war, with constant pressure points, pushes, hold lines, and messy moments where team momentum can flip quickly.
It is also where playing with friends helps the most. Since I have 20+ hours mostly in friend sessions, this mode keeps giving me that “one more match” loop without me feeling burnt out too quickly.
Big thing for me is value consistency. I can keep this as my fallback FPS without worrying about buying a full-price new entry every couple of years just to stay current.
My Lows
I do have moments where some lobbies feel like there are bots or AI players mixed in. I cannot prove that every time, but some behavior patterns definitely feel off compared to full human lobbies. While some matches just feel like 20-40minutes of straight slaughter, honestly, not that fun on either side whether you are winning or not. Making it feel like you are kinda “jailed” until it is over unless you eat it and just leave the match to re-queue. It can feel rough in spots, sometimes you just get headshotteed outta nowhere and not by a sniper, hackers for sure, strangely enough not enough to make me quit, but indeed very frustrating.
Worth Playing?
For me this is less a “best FPS ever” story and more a “this fits my life better right now” story. It replaced CoD as my default fallback because it gives me the style of FPS sessions I want without the recurring paid entry feeling hanging over me, and Fortnite no build still does not replace that specific itch for me.
I still mostly log in for Attack and Defense with friends, and that is the part that keeps this game alive in my rotation. So yes, even with a few rough edges, Delta Force is still my go-to fallback FPS until something better hits the market.
