Mari Event Day 7

Dear Diary,

It’s Day 7 in Monster Super League‘s Mari Exotic Capture Event. It is also the day I finally gathered enough Mari to Evo 3 all 5 elements.

It was a good thing I stocked up Special Astrochips since the last Exotic Capture Event I participated in, which was the Christmas Event for Snowee and Rudolph.

Which Mari is the Best

This was a very common question that came up in reddit over and over again.

The simple answer is, none.

The long answer is due to the fact the Astromon has been outdated with no changes since it was first released.

A few years back, Dark Mari was the best Mari Astromon to collect. It contended being one of the top tier DPS in game, a great alternative to the Dark Mona.

However, Mona learnt a few new tricks; SuperEVO while Mari stayed the same.

The same concept applied to Light Mari versus Light Victoria. While they were toe to toe with their stats, Light Victoria is able to SuperEVO while Light Mari isn’t making it a much worse alternative to use.

The last original Mari was the Water Element. She was never a great Astromon to have, despite being a complete annoyance in Tower of Chaos Floor 115. Despite being a Tank based Natural 4, her HP stats were very low, it is even lower than a Natural 3 Dark Minicat. Even though Minicat is a relatively new Astromon, Water Mari’s was Light Sura’s rival back then, despite being a worse off one. Both being Natural 4s, but having much worse stats than him.

Fire and Wood Mari are both newer versions added to the game in recent years. With Fire Mari being an attacker based Sapper which isn’t ideal to begin with and Wood Mari being a Critical focused Defense Down debuff attacker. Which also isn’t great and can only see a few uses for them.
