What is New World
Amazon is the developer and publisher of New World. New World had an original release date in May 2020 but was delayed until 2021 due to COVID and various other in-game issues. This new PVP Driven MMORPG is set in the mid-1600s, players are able to explore and settle down on Aeternum Island and join one of the three factions (Marauders, Syndicate, or Covenant). The game is an sandbox where players are encouraged to gain resources through various means ,whether its plundering, node utilization or through settlements. Like all MMORPGs, New World does have an in-depth storyline along with quests for any loremaster to enjoy and immerse in, otherwise, the players are able to join either or both PVE and PVP content.

New world is an Action Combat Game with no target locking, that includes soft target locking.

Player versus Environment
You are able to hunt monsters and bosses in the open world, along with Expeditions and Invasions.
Expeditions
Expeditions are essential dungeons in the MMORPG’s terms. You can enter expeditions with a group up to 5 people and challenge waves of monsters and boss monsters for unique sets of weapons and armor. Further Expeditions has a chance to drop tradable exclusive resources for crafting.
One thing to note is that expeditions have a weekly limit. At least one player in the party must have a Tuning Orb.
Tuning orbs are limited to a certain number per week, depending on expedition level, they can be obtained from two major ways.

Invasions
Invasions are available to players over level 50. Players will assist defending areas from 8 waves of corrupted monsters which will have unique skills and at times, even boss encounters. Using the special invasion currency, players will be able to purchase special utilities items that assist the invasions. Rewards will granted in the form of experience, gold and loot and depends on your performance.
Player versus Player
What is a good MMORPG without some PVP action. New world will have PVP content including the following
- Open world PVP (players are able to completely opt-out)

- Players can switch faction once every 120 days
Company (Guild)
Companies are essentially guilds or clans in other MMORPGs. They are player-created groups that offer a hierarchical structure. Currently, the max players in a single company is 100 players.
Crafting
Crafting in New World is one of the highlights in this game. When players craft items, they have a random chance of being on different tiers and quality that influence an item’s gear score and stats. Higher tier items of the same type require additional crafting components.

Housing
Once you reach level 20, you are able to purchase your very first house, and once again at level 40 and 60. Just like in reality, each house comes with a property tax that is paid to the company that is governing the settlement, if you refuse to pay the tax, certain features of your house will be disabled.
Housing is an instanced zone with several different types of houses available in each settlement, players have the ability to own more than one house in each settlement.
There is a total of 4 tiers of house with the difference in the features and perks it will provide.

New World Beta Information
The New World Closed Beta begins July 20 at 9:30AM PT (4:30PM UTC) until August 2 at 11:59M PT (6:59AM UTC).
Players who preorder on Steam will automatically receive access to the Closed Beta and “New World Closed Beta” will appear in your Steam Game Library.
There will be a wipe before launch.
