Tower of God
Tower of God Great Journey is an idle gacha game based on the super popular Webtoon series Tower of God, don’t forget to check out my review on this gacha game. If you enjoy the game, remember to go like the Webtoon series and support the artist SUI. Tower of God is a game that allows you to progress quite easily day in day out, every day or two, you feel like you made some slight progress, and each upgrade feels quite meaningful, unlike some mobile games I have played in the past. Hard Mode was just released in this week’s patch and oh boy, it was really hard mode. I got a serious reality check on Chapter 1-10 final boss/wave.
Story Hard Mode
Currently, there is 4 Chapters of Hard Mode Story with 10 sub-chapters in each chapter. Once you finish each sub-chapter, you gain ridiculous amount of EXP (Even at level 100+), for example, I was getting over 20% per sub-chapter while Normal mode gave me under ~10% per sub-chapter. Hard mode also gives you other goodies such as Skill Books and enhancement crystals. At first, I was totally cruising through Chapter 1, basically completely destroying the mobs but once I got to Chapter 1-10, I got my reality check as Bam/Khun/Rak plus the unnamed laser girl completely destroyed me. I tried again for with different combinations the next day for over 30 minutes and with no success could not perfect 3 star beat it.
Unlike Normal Mode, Hard Mode has stars attached to it’s progress per sub-chapter. The maximum you can receive per sub-chapter is 3 stars which then you can exchange for goodies. such as Tower’s Summon Ticket (Blue) or +20 Armor Upgrade Hammers.

One of the biggest things you have to pay attention in Hard Mode Chapter 1 is, the number of characters you are allowed to bring in, is a default 5. However, for example, Chapter 1-8 requires you to have 4 or less characters to earn all 3 stars.
I was unable to get all 30 stars in Chapter 1. However, I believe you can still progress to Chapter 2 even if you don’t get all 3 stars in Chapter 1-10, as that’s what happened to me, if so, I would highly recommend continuing pushing without perfecting it as you will only get stronger and you can eventually come back and beat it. (Probably). At least, that is what I am going to do since I just don’t see a viable way to defeat it currently as I just don’t do enough dps and my characters melt despite wearing nearly full Epic T3 (except for 2 pieces, Helmet Epic T1 and Physical Weapon Epic T1).

The next day, I was able to pull Urek Mazino and even though he is transcend +0 with just level 2 skills across the board, I was able to use him and defeat Chapter 1-10 where I was previously struggling completely on clearing.
