Tower of God
Tower of God Great Journey is an idle gacha game based on the super popular Webtoon series Tower of God, don’t forget to check out my review on this gacha game. If you enjoy the game, remember to go like the Webtoon series and support the artist SUI. Tower of God is a game that allows you to progress quite easily day in day out, every day or two, you feel like you made some slight progress, and each upgrade feels quite meaningful, unlike some mobile games I have played in the past. Between the last attempt when I finally beat Story 9-1 and got up to 9-4 and today’s re-attempt at 9-5, I only upgraded a few of my skills by 1-2 levels; namely Faker & Yuri. Doesn’t seem all too much but that was all I needed to beat 9-5.
Story Mode
Story Mode recaps are nice and all but I have already read the Manga at least 3 times by now, I love the story but I want to game right now so I pretty much just skip through all the scenes. Usually, story mode itself isn’t difficult at all, unless you are facing the infamous XiaXia then that’s a totally different story. As an enemy she is ridiculously strong, whether it is in Tower of Trials or story, she just nukes you to death; but that’s a story for another day. Today, we face story 9-5 boss which surprisingly isn’t XiaXia but instead, our adorable princess Endorsi instead. Infact, she is so stupid strong, she melts through all my characters in 1-2 hits. That includes my strongest character Bam too!
I spent yesterday ~30 minutes or so replying it to see if there was any chance or I just had to upgrade more, but I have noticed, I hit her quite hard, I just need a bit more DPS. So I went ahead and dumped all my gold into upgrading a few of Sachi Faker & Yuri Ha’s skills making them both alot stronger. While I went ahead and re-played it quite a few times before finally beating her with only Bam alive.
This is what mobile games should really be like, enjoyment, and visible progress from every small upgrade you do and make. Tower of God Great Journey captures this quite well. Below is my team composition I used to finally beat Endorsi.
