Life Skills
In Swords of Legends Online, currently they are three life skills that are playable
Respectively they are fishing, cooking and crafting.
Each life skill can be levelled with no current level restrictions for what you can make.
The only noticeable disadvantage for lower life skill levels is the materials you gain from open world (fish/ingredients/gathering) will be untradeable. In addition, while having higher skill level will also grant you skill points that you can freely assign for various buffs.
Fishing
Fishing is an important life skill in Swords of Legends Online. You are able to fish anywhere with water however, in certain “coloured spots” in water areas that appear all over the world, you will gain much more useful materials. There is currently no level restriction on this life skill.
Fishes are the key ingredients in cooking food which plays a major role with your damage and defensive buffs.
Fishing Equipment
Fishing Gear
Fishing has it’s own fishing currency called Fishbone Coin (This can change through translation).
Using this currency, you are able to exchange the crafting recipe to craft your own full set of fishing gears that you are able to obtain by fishing, these fishing gears have special stat combos that can grant you abilities such as but not limited to more extra products, faster casting time.
Fishing Gear is a direct replacement on your gear set which means, you cannot have them equipped while using your normal gears, instead you are able to store them under your wardrobe presets for easy access.

Fishing Rods
Like most MMORPGs, there are many types of fishing rods, Swords of Legends Online is no exception to this rule.

Fishing Baits
There are three types of baits in Swords of Legends Online. While they don’t differ in quality, their effects changed making each of them superior in their own field of expertise.
There is two ways to utilize the bait in your inventory.
- Open your inventory and click the bait you wish to use
- Equip your rod and open your inventory and click the bait you wish to use

Fishing Holes
There are two types of fishing spots, namely Blue and Gold.
The main differences are that blue spots are personal only while gold spots are public.
Another difference is that the blue spots refresh biweekly-weekly while gold spots refresh slightly faster
Golden Fishing Holes are much rare than the Blue Fishing Hole, while both will have a set time. Golden Fishing Hole’s timer are an approximate of 15-90 minutes.
During the Gold of the Four Seas Event on Dragon Turtle Island, all fishing holes becomes public regardless of it’s color.
Fishing Location & Rewards
Read Fayie’s Swords of Legends Fishing Location article on all the different zones will catch different fish products while each fish spot will have a fixed type of fish material
This can be previewed from a spot by hovering your mouse on it. Luck is also part of one’s strength as you are able to receive additional fishing material by RNG.
Fish are not the only materials you are able to catch, you can even get housing items, special fishing currency using a special bait and of course trash items.
Similar to all life skills, there are dailies and weeklies fishing quests and events in order to earn more fishing coins.
Cooking
Previous lightly mentioned on in Swords of Legend Fishing, cooking is one of the most important life skills out of the three.
As cooking is able to improve your combat performances namely through buffs and stats.
You are able to gather ingredients and materials from fishing, gathering and hunting to cook.
There are a wide variety of recipes to collect for for various different foods for each game content, namely PVE or PVP.
Cooking buffs are able to be used in all current known PVP Game Modes.
While most recipes can be brought from general stores or reputation/prestige stores, some more rare recipes can only be obtained from dungeons and raids.
One highlight from Swords of Legends Online cooking system is that you always have an 100% success rate with a small chance of receiving additional products or higher quality food.
This can be tipped in your favor by having a higher cooking skill level, in order to level your cooking you must learn new recipes and cook more food.
Coal is needed in order to cook and each character (not account) can only buy 10 coal per day. There is an hard cap of 20 coal any character can have on them at any moment in time.
Crafting
Swords of Legends Life Skill Crafting can be broken down into three main systems, however, all three will share the same skill level and experience when gained from all activities.
Gathering
Similar to fishing, Like the life skill fishing, there are different gathering nodes on different maps and zones which are also both separated into Blue and Gold.
Each node has 3 rarity levels
- Raw
- Refined
- Essence
The biggest difference that separates gathering and fishing is that, the amount of blue products will be dependent on your account activities from last week.

Hunting
There are opportunities to get chest when you hunt. Each chest will provide different materials per map and zone.
There are two main chests to receive, a material chest and an ingredient chest.
The key differences between the two chests is that the Ingredient chest is cooking materials while material chest is ungatherable gathering materials and auxiliary materials .
Crafting
Lastly, crafting in Swords of Legends online is very simple, it is the complete haul of everything. You can craft gears, enchantment or potion just to name a few.
Majority of the materials used for crafting are gathered from gathering and hunting while the more rare and special ones are obtained from dungeons and raids.
One great thing for life skill players is that majority of the items crafted are tradable with a few exceptions.
With the default hotkey CTRL+Y, you are able to see the overview of the crafting options available in Swords of Legends Online.
You are able to view the crafting recipes by using the default Hotkey I then “Crafting”. As mentioned before, you must learn the recipes in order to use them.
There are workbenches found around the world of SOLO, one example of where they can be found is in Cloudrise.
Qiankun Bag
Qiankun Bag is Swords of Legends Online’s Internal Crafting UI system, you are able to find the UI at the bottom left menu, under the 4th symbol on the menu. There is a total of 69 materials to date you are able to you can refine or extract. Each gathering material is separated into three levels crude, refined, and essence.
- 2 crude products can be crafted into 1 refined
- 3 refined products can be crafted into 1 essence
When crafting 1 lower tier material to an higher tier, you may receive some auxiliary materials.
While gathering, you have a chance to receive gathering gear, this gear set has a special gathering buff that makes gathering much more efficient.
