New World is an sandbox MMORPG developed and published by Amazon Game Studio with a release date of 31 August 2021. You, the players are stuck on the mysterious but curse island of Aeternum that is full of magic. Whether you are fighting your old crewmates or new island castaways, do you have what it takes to master the weapon that fits you. Do you know each weapon in New World is completely unique? Dueling in New World
In Amazon’s MMORPG New World, there are the following PVP modes available for the players.
- Dueling
- Opening World PvP
- Outpost Rush
- Sieges
Dueling is one of the most accessible and safest way to PvP in New World without any consequences. Further, dueling is a very traditional PvP form in MMORPGs. Over the decades, Duel PvP has been used in many forms such as
- In game community PvP Events & competitions
- PvP Practice
- Settling differences between players
- Just PvP for fun without consequences
Duel Limitations
As with most features, there are always limitations and restrictions placed on them, the duel option is no difference.
- Players must be over level 10 to initiate or receive a duel
- Players does not need to be in a faction to initiate or receive a duel
- PVP Flag Status has no weight in initiating or receiving a duel
- Duels cannot be initiated or received in settlements or during war and invasion
- Outside interference will end a duel
- Duels can be solo or in maximum party of 5 on each opposing side
How Can I Start A Duel
There are two current known methods to start a duel in New World MMORPG.
- Hover over another player’s name and click the “Invite To Duel,”
- In game chat type in /duel [playername]
How Can I Start A Group Duel
As mentioned earlier, you are able to do an group duel, which is very uncommon in MMORPGs. I personally cannot think of an MMORPG right now that has this feature. In order to initiate a group date, you must form a group/party first. Once you have formed a group/party, simply hover over a player and challenge them to a duel. You do not need to have even parties to a group duel. A 1v many situation is totally possible.
