Story

Fire Pegasus

Fire elemental Pegasuses are more aggressive when compared to Pegasuses of other elements, who are typically more docile and graceful. As such care should be taken when encountering a fire Pegasus, lest it becomes agitated and attacks

Upon finding a fire Pegasus or either of it’s other evolutionary forms, it is important to ascertain its mood. If it appears to be discontent in any way, the best course of action is to flee as quickly as possible. However, if escape is not permitted by the situation, then the best recourse is to exhibit the utmost civility and respect towards the Astromon.

Demonstrating civility and respect to a horse may seem conceptually bizarre, but an encounter with a Bellerophon will immediately put such thoughts to rest; the creature’s magnificence and awe-inspiring wings of fire are enough to melt any notion that it is simply an “equine Astromon”

Water Pegasus

There are many masters who struggle to differentiate between a Colte and a Pegasus, but it is actually quite easy. A Colte has a corn on it’s head, while a Pegasus has wings with which it can fly. If you see one of them running on the ground, it’s a Colte. If you see one flying, it’s a Pegasus. Some have even spotted a Pegasus flying above a Colte…

“I bet flying everywhere is a lot comfier than running everywhere.”

“I’ve never really flown, so I wouldn’t know. What do you think, Miho?”

“Flying’s definitely better! I’m sure of it!”

“Well, It’d sure come in handy around Sky Falls…”

– A conversation on the airship one relaxing afternoon

“Master, what’re you up to?”

:He said he’s praying… Something about wanting to see a Water Bellerophan with his own two eyes.”

He’s been praying for 30 days with no luck… But maybe this time will be different.”

“Shh!”

– A conversation among Astromons watching Master Lunatic Beat

Wood Pegasus

According to the myths and legends, wood elemental Pegasuses are supposedly quiet and calm, but this has never been verified. Very few people have ever seen one, which may be because wood Pegasuses prefer the quiet of remote, deserted locations. The few recorded sighting that exist have all happened deep within forests in locations hard for humans to reach.

“Masters have swarmed to this location after hearing the rumors that a Pihassas was spotted in a nearby forest. I, too, have come with the intention of heading into the forest tomorrow morning.

I scouted the forest for several weeks, but with no luck. Perhaps it knows I’m looking for it, and has hid itself deeper within the forest? Will I be unable to record an entry for the Pihassas in my observation logs? It feels like everyone else has one but me”

-“Astromon Behavioral Observations” by P. Gilbert

A fully evolved wood Pegasus is both the ruler and the protector of the forest. A forest with a Bellerophon is heavily protected against human intrusions, and as a result is a safe haven for wild Astromons and various plant life. The power of a Bellerophon is such that even masters renowned throughout the land are unable to enter such forests.

Light Pegasus

A steed with wings. Very few exist, and they tend to live apart from one another. Flight is their primary means of travel, making them extremely difficult to encounter short of being blessed with divine luck. However, even harder than finding one is taming one, which is said to be all but impossible.

Light Elemental Pihassas is a noble and Gentle Astromon that does not tolerate impudence. That being said, it keeps its composure even when angry, and never raises it’s voice.

Light Elemental Bellerophon is a holy beast believed to possess power closest to that of the goddess Stella. Every action it takes exudes grace and nobility, and when it flies through the air with it’s wings of light, it commands the same authority and respect as the goddess

Dark Pegasus

Dark Elemental Pegasuses have always been few and far between, but years ago there was a noticeable decline in their numbers, to the point that the most recent sighting of one i already several decades ago. Some believe it to be linked to the disappearance of the goddess Luna, but without evidence, such hypotheses remain pure conjecture.

Dark Elemental Pegasuses have been known to evolve after receiving a certain amount of exposure to a full moon. If you are lucky, you may be able to evolve one by going somewhere with an unobstructed view on the night of a full moon, but it would require extreme luck; in general, only one such occurrence of this happening is recorded every few decades.

Just as a Light elemental Bellerophon’s power is considered closest to that of the goddess Stella’s, so too is a dark Bellerophon’s power closest to the goddess Luna’s. It is said any living thing that observes a Bellerophon flying through the air with wings of darkness becomes stuck in place, terrified and unable to move.

Which Element Pegasus Is Worth it?

Simple answer: None

Pegasus is not worth building nor using in most cases unless you are new to the game with nothing better, since honestly the majestic unicorn-like Astromon has nothing to offer.

Is It Worth Rebirthing for Pegasus?

It depends what other Astromons do you have. Do you need a Fire or Dark Element with decently high DPS, if so, Dark is a good alternative until you get your Dark Mona or better. Or Fire is good for Tower of Chaos Elements unless you have better. Others ain’t even worth thinking about.

Even though I said that, it is still worth rebirthing for Pegasus for 2 reasons.

Reason one would be simply, 600 Astrogems for each 30 Natural 4 Astromons you sacrificed. Might seem quite a bit, but it really isn’t. For this purely, it’s already worth it.

To repeat, you would need to sacrifice an additional 15 Nat4 before you can reset it, but if you have an abundant of Nat4s to kill off, I would advice to do it for the Astrogems.

Reason two would be simply to finish your collection, not only would it look pretty having it all collected, but you get Astrogems for doing it too.
